My name is Neomi Peries. I was born and raised in Los Angeles California to Sri Lankan Immigrants. My love of food began as a child cooking with my mom, making her famous curries and dishes. Like many families, food quickly became our love language. It’s what we do when all the family gets together. Following this, it became my love language in my own kitchen as well.
I have been a Professional Food Stylist and Culinary Producer for the past 10+ years. I have worked on Emmy-nominated cooking shows such as Top Chef, Master Chef, and The Taste. I began my career in the culinary world as an Assistant to Food Stylists and Chefs. I quickly realized that this was my calling, and I moved up the ranks to become a Food Stylist-Culinary Producer to create beautiful pantries, plates, and displays. I have been fortunate enough to work for such Culinary greats as Anthony Bourdain, Gordon Ramsey, Padma Lakshmi, Marcus Samuelson, and Gail Simmons.
I spend my downtime traveling, where I receive many opportunities to experience new cuisines and cultures near and far. Food is what connects us to each other as a community. You can learn so much about a stranger by sitting down and sharing a meal with one another. That’s what it is for me, food is my connection to one another.
